Medjugorje
The Blessed Virgin Mary has been appearing to six people from the parish of Medjugorje, in Bosnia-Hercegovina, since 1981.In the early days of the apparitions, Our Lady identified herself as the Queen of Peace, and she has never ceased imploring us to pray for peace in our hearts, in our families, and in the whole world.
Over the years, Medjugorje has become a global phenomenon and a catalyst for the conversions of millions of people. Countless pilgrims have journeyed to Medjugorje and have been blessed with an abundance of graces in the forms of healings, visible miracles and conversions of the heart.
There is also a prophetic aspect to Medjugorje. The six visionaries are each being given ten secrets that are said to foretell the future of humanity as well as the appearance of a permanent sign in Medjugorje.
Our Lady recently explained the purpose of Medjugorje when she said: "Dear children! Also today, with great joy in my heart, I call you to conversion. Little children, do not forget that you are all important in this great plan, which God leads through Medjugorje. God desires to convert the entire world and to call it to salvation and to the way towards Himself, who is the beginning and the end of every being. In a special way, little children, from the depth of my heart, I call you all to open yourselves to this great grace that God gives you through my presence here."
